Holliston, MA– The Posiflow feed verification sensor is designed to detect the flow of liquid output by a pump, which verifies the metering pump is moving liquid and has not lost prime. The device does this with no moving parts. The standard flow path of the pump is preserved so the liquid does not go through the gears or move a magnet to activate a pulse in the sensor thus eliminating plugging or jamming concerns. The Posiflow sends out a signal with every stroke as long as there is liquid flow. The signal will stop if the pump loses prime, is in a deadhead condition, or loses pressure due to a broken discharge line. An input device can be configured to interpret the signal in many ways, including totalization, no-flow alarms, drum refill notification, etc. The Posiflow worked with Walchem EH and EZ Series pumps.
