Electroindustry business conditions show growth despite dip
Rosslyn, VA—The国家电气制造商协会印度(NEMA) Electroindustry业务的信心x (EBCI) for current North American conditions dropped slightly from last month, but still reflects conditions favorable to growth, the association reports. The index measured 53.6 in June, down 2.2 points from the 55.8 reading in May. However, for the 39 th consecutive month, the indicator remained above the 50-point threshold said to indicate conditions favorable to growth.
In addition, the index for future North American conditions rose slightly from last month, climbing nearly a point (0.9) to 27.8. Business environments in each of three other world regions included in the survey were somewhat stronger. Current conditions in Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific all posted readings in the low 60s while future conditions reached or exceeded 50.
NEMA consists of 430 companies who manufacture products used in the generation, transmission, distribution, control, and use of electricity. Its EBCI gauges the business confidence of the electroindustry in Asia, Europe, North America, and Latin America. Data are based on the responses of senior managers at member companies.
