Mitsubishi Electric Automation UL-approved molded case circuit breakers (MCCB) have continuous current ratings from 5A up to 600A and are suitable for 230V, 480V or 600V operation.

Vernon Hills, IL – Mitsubishi Electric Automation provider of factory automation solutions, has launched its latest UL-approved molded case circuit breakers (MCCB). Designed to complement Mitsubishi Electric’s variable frequency drives (VFD) and servo products, the molded case breakers have short circuit current ratings (SCCR) that synchronize with most Mitsubishi Electric contactors and starters. Interrupt capacities from 10 kA up to 100 kA are also available.

230 V, 480 V or 600 V operation

Mitsubishi Electric Automation’s new MCCB line-up has continuous current ratings from 5 A up to 600 A, and are suitable for 230 V, 480 V or 600 V operation. Reliable and compact, the new MCCBs are UL489 and CSA tested and approved for branch circuit protection, TÜV and CCC approved and RoHS compliant. They all can handle ac, dc and reverse connections, and can also be used for isolation duty.

A full range of options and accessoriesare also available, such as NEMA 12 Interlocking handles (including special versions for NFPA79 emergency stop applications); auxiliary contacts; alarm switches; shunt and undervoltage trips; terminal covers; and phase insulating barriers. Customers have a choice of standard screw-on, bus-bar or "solderless" box terminals to facilitate installation.

For supplementary ac or dc circuit protection, Mitsubishi Electric Automation now offers the CP30 series of circuit protection devices that feature slim design (just 17.5 mm width per pole) and are DIN-rail mountable. The CP30 series is UL1077 and CSA 22.2 recognized and can handle from 0.1 up to 30A. Available with 1, 2 or 3 pole variants, they have 2.5 kA interrupt capability, multiple trip speeds, Faston terminals for fast connection and a recessed handle to prevent accidental operation. All have 50G shock and 15G vibration ratings.

Mitsubishi Electric Automation factory automation productsinclude programmable automation controllers (PAC),

programmable logic controllers (PLC), human machine interfaces (HMI), ac variable frequency drives, servo amplifiers and motors, motion controllers, control software, computerized numerical control systems (CNC), robots, and industrial sewing machines.
