纽约-To help improve product lifecycle management, Honeywell introduced its POMS eSpec 2.1 software at Interphex 2004. Honeywell is an industry leader in automation and manufacturing execution systems (MES) for life sciences.

POMS eSpec manages specifications for products, materials and equipment across businesses, allowing database users to rapidly deploy information to multiple manufacturing sites and pro-duction lines. POMS eSpec also complies with CFR 21 Part 11 and ISA manufacturing standards.

“As our customers continue to discover new and valuable ways of using eSpec, we’re also continuing to innovate and deliver new features, such as those in eSpec 2.1,” says Rick Sterrett, Honeywell POMS’ COO. “eSpec continues to remain our flagship product for enterprise data management.”

Building on core software designed for life sciences manufacturing, POMS eSpec includes new features to enhance the performance of large databases. These include:

  • The Location Model. This newly extended model links business data to product specifications for supply chain automation and e-commerce. Users can generate broad data about product distri-bution centers and customer and supplier locations, and learn specific information about labels and trade practices in certain countries.

  • Tighter Integration. POMS eSpec improves integration among MES and clinical manufactur-ing systems (CMS) by managing and updating product specifications. POMS eSpec works with POMS MES/CMS 5.1 and greater releases.
