GE Fanuc Embedded Systems Inc., (www.gefanuc.com/embedded) a unit of GE Industrial, has purchased the multiprocessor PowerPC product line from DNA Computing Solutions Inc. Included in the deal are the VS/VE750, VQG4, and Nexus I VME boards; WingSpan software suite of optimized signal, image, and vector processing software libraries; and VxWorks and Linux board support software.

Additions to the multiprocessor product portfolio in 2006 will support expanded environmental requirements with the latest PowerPC, switched-fabric, and communications technology.”

GE Fanuc Embedded Systems is part of GE Fanuc Automation Corp., a joint venture between GE and Fanuc Ltd. of Japan. The company delivers a diverse array of capabilities and products, including software and hardware, controllers, embedded systems, motion controls, operator interfaces, and industrial computers.
