Southington, Conn.—Baumer Electric has released what it says is the smallest diffuse background suppression laser sensor in the world. The OHDK 10 measures 0.39 x 1.06 x 0.64 in., approximately the size of a sugar cube. The device uses true background suppression by triangulation. By mechanically adjusting the receiver’s lens to accurately sense a target at a specific point in space, a target can be detected regardless of color, texture, or reflectivity while all background objects are ignored. OHDK 10’s sensing range of 0.79-3.94 in. is screwdriver adjustable. The device has a response time of less than 500 www.baumerelectric.com
