Wireless USB protocol-analyzer with air interface

ByControl Engineering Staff 2005年10月6日

Wireless USB-Explorer-300 protocol-analyzer with air interface can record and decode WiMedia-ultra-wideband and Certified-Wireless USB-protocols from wireless or direct connection, according to Ellisys , a European supplier of USB test solutions. Explorer can record traffic exchanged over the air between devices through its external omni-directional antenna. Alternatively, it can capture traffic between a MAC and a PHY from boards during their design phase.

Commercial products based on the Certified Wireless USB-protocol are expected to appear early in 2006. Ellisys says that it as designed the industry’s first protocol analyzer to answer this need.

Explorer excels in smoothing out firmware and driver-development problems, preventing interoperability issues, verifying data encryption, optimizing performance, tuning power management and improving communication reliability.

The company expects Explorer to be available mid-November 2005.
