Germantown, WI—Wago Corp. has launches a new compact splicing connector, 222 Series, that is designed as a cost-effective, more flexible alternative to traditional twist or crimp style connectors. The three-connector 222 Series is UL listed in Canada and the U.S.A for 600 V/20 A, and can terminate wire sizes from 28 AWG to 12 AWG in solid and stranded forms.

‘The 222 Series offers users the flexibility to terminate and re-terminate a broad range of wire sizes and types,’ says Jim Bachle, Wago’s electrical product manager. ‘There is not another splicing connector currently available in the marketplace that can offer this broad range of wire sizes and types in one connector.’

222 Series uses Wago’s patented Cage Clamp spring pressure connection technology, which provides a reliable, vibration-proof, corrosion/temperature cycling resistant, and maintenance-free wire connection. The integrated orange lever actuator allows for tool-less, fast, easy wiring, as well as ensuring a proper connection regardless of operator skill level. Also, an integrated test point offers convenient testing or troubleshooting of its circuit.
