To allow PC-based control, human-machine interface, and system management software to operate in one Microsoft-based environment, Total Control Products Inc. recently launched FrameworX. Designed in conjunction with Total Control’s automotive customers, this object-oriented software was joined by Total Control’s release of fxManager, the first in a series products designed to function in the FrameworX environment. When plugged into FrameworX, fxManager stores all versions of automation projects on a central server, makes sure users load and edit current projects for each device, records users’ actions, prevents unauthorized tampering, and documents automation events, such as backups, for easy recovery.
