It incorporates a 100-dB buzzer, said to be the industry’s loudest, for alerting users of unsafe conditions. The compact device is impervious to radio frequency and electromagnetic interference, and is able to handle most rugged environments. The Screamer uses a diffusion style monitor and is powered by one 9-V battery. Its alarm sounds if gas levels are exceeded, battery power is low, or a malfunction occurs in the sensor circuitry.
