Power quality problems can damage plants; Webcast aims help

ByControl Engineering Staff 2005年10月24日

As if electrical costs weren’t enough of a problem for plant managers, the quality of the current is a serious issue for many manufacturers. What can plant managers do to ensure power quality, whether from their own generation or from utilities, and what are some related issues every plant engineer needs to know. Plant Engineering moderates a panel of thought-leading plant managers and power quality experts through a discussion of options available for plant managers faced with the issues of power generation and electrical costs for their plants.

Topics of discussion include: harmonics, transients, surges, voltage sags and swells, return on investment, power quality improvement strategies, detection and measurement, mitigation, and grounding.
