Power distribution blocks – 2006-06-01
PDB Series power distribution blocks have SCCRs to 200 kA rating and are listed to UL 1953 to replace low-rated power distribution blocks and achieve higher assembly short-circuit current ratings. The 2005 NEC requires industrial control panels and some HVAC equipment and other assemblies to be marked with their assembly short-circuit current ratings.

Replacing a low-rated power distribution block with a high SCCR PDB Series product reportedly achieves an assembly with more installation flexibility.
