NKK Switches offers enhanced LEDs

Scottsdale, Ariz. –NKK Switchesenhances its line of LED lighted pushbutton switches, called ‘Bright LEDs.’ Available in red, green or amber, the high efficiency light sources provide an alternative to incandescent lamps in a variety of applications for which LEDs previously had not been considered.

NKK Switches’ Bright LEDs are available in round, square or rectangular shaped switches, ranging from subminiature to standard in size and with bushing or snap-in mount. Bright LEDs are supplied as standard options in switches with electrical ratings of 0.1A maximum @ 30V AC/DC to 5A @ 125/250V AC or 5A @ 30V DC. The LED’s electrical specifications are determined at a basic temperature of 25 C.

NKK’s Bright LEDs are installed with caps to provide either full-face or spot illumination. Full-face illuminated versions render a bright, evenly diffused color due to their two piece assembly of an outer cap with a diffuser underneath. Cap colors are available in clear, red, green and amber. Diffuser options are white, clear, red, green and amber. The caps lend themselves to legending. In addition, film inserts or screen-printing on the cap or diffuser are standard choices.
