NKK Switches introduces ultra-thin pushbutton

亚利桑那州斯科茨代尔。–NKK Switches introduced the GB2 series of ultra-thin, ultra-miniature pushbutton switches.

The body of the switch is 7 mm high, 7 mm wide, and 2.5 mm thick. Also suitable for mounting in blocks, these models feature patented, off-center plungers that facilitate this type of mounting and ensure against accidental actuation. STC contacts self clean with each actuation.

GB2 pushbuttons are rated 0.4 VA maximum at 28V AC/DC maximum and have an applicable range of 0.1 mA ~ 0.1 A at 20mV ~ 28V. The contact resistance is 80 milliohms maximum. Insulation resistance is 500 megohms minimum at 500 Vdc and dielectric strength is 500 Vac. The GB2 boasts mechanical and electrical life rating of 50,000 operations minimum.

The series has a UL flammability rating of UL94V0 and is suitable for hand held instruments. The base, actuator, and case are constructed of glass fiber reinforced polyamide and the sealing ring of acrylonitrile butadiene rubber. The straight PC terminals are gold plating over nickel, while right angle PC and the mounting brackets are phosphor bronze with tin plating. Operating temperature range is -25 through +70 deg C. The humidity rating is 93 percent humidity for 240 hours at 40 deg C.
