New this year: Evening exhibit hours, NI’s Dr. Truchard, YAPFEST

Houston, TX—In addition to six educational tracks offered, ISA 2007 keynote speakers include National Instruments’ Dr. James Truchard and NASA’s manager for constellation project modeling, simulation and data architecture. The exhibit floor includes pavilions focused on bus stations, environmental issues, industrial communications, a sensors fair and software solutions. And after a full day of learning, it’s time to relax with refreshments at various networking receptions.

New at the ISA show this year is evening exhibition hours, and a networkingreception on Tuesdayfrom 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Attendees between the ages of 18 to 30 are invited to attend the second annualYAPFESTTues., Oct. 2 at 5:30 p.m. Designed specifically for young automation professionals, YAPFEST provides a venue for networking and discussion, as well as an opportunity to hear local Houston band 11th Hour and to drink free beer. Registration for this event includes entrance into Tuesday’s conference.

Keynote speakers at ISA 2007 include J.S. (Steve) Arendt, vice president of ABSG Consulting Inc.’s Organizational Performance Assurance Center, who will be speaking at noon on Tues., Oct. 2; Dr. James Truchard, President and CEO, National Instruments, who will be speaking at 8:30 a.m. Wed., Oct. 3; Donald W. Monell, NASA’s manager for the constellation project modeling, simulation and data architecture, who will be speaking at 9 a.m. Thurs., Oct. 4;
