Waltham, Mass.– NETsilicon Inc. expanded its NET+Works RTOS architecture June 21 to support Wind River Systems Inc.’s VxWorks, which is part of the Tornado development environment. NET+Works passed Wind River’s BSP validation program and is now Tornado-certified. NET+Works combines NETsilicon’s NET+Arm system-on-silicon product and its NET+Works software to network enable electrical devices.

This agreement will allow OEMs to retain development and training investments in Wind River products, while expanding their architectural choices for embedded applications, such as imaging, industrial automation, network access, Internet telephony, digital cameras, medical imaging, and building control.
