NEMA’S electro-industry confidence index for March shows worldwide growth

Rosslyn, VA—The National Electrical Manufacturers Association(NEMA) says the March 2005 edition of its Electro-industry Business Confidence Index showed significant growth in all four of the worldwide regions included in NEMA’s monthly Business Confidence survey, and even topped the threshold defining growth as occurring at 50 points for the third consecutive month in March.

The North America index climbed nearly five points to 60.4, following a dip in February 2005, and marked its 23rd consecutive month atc region lost some steam in March. The Europe index fell nearly four points to 54.5, while the Asia/Pacific index slid nearly seven points to 63.3.

Electro-industry商业信心指数ices gauge the business confidence of the electro-industries of Asia, Europe, North America, and Latin America. They are based on the results of a monthly survey of senior managers at NEMA’s member companies. Those companies represent more than 80% of the electro-industry market.

NEMA reports that it’s%s scope exceed $100 billion.
