Maximize workspace: Wall-mounted, operator interface enclosure for constricted areas

has announced the Wall Station, a compact, wall-mounted operator interface system for process areas and plant floors where space is limited. To maximize floor space, the Wall Station attaches directly to the wall using external tabs, or through holes located in the rear of the enclosure.

It is available in different configurations, including an inset keyboard style that minimizes protrusion into the room, and a wedge keyboard style ergonomically suited for periods of extended use. It can be configured with a sloped top to eliminate pooling of liquids atop the enclosure, and it can be optimized for liquid (washdown) or dry powder (wipedown) process areas. Options include precision cut-outs for push buttons, integration of peripherals such as bar code scanners, and a selection of cooling choices for extreme environmental conditions.

Product features include four display sizes that can be configured with optional resistive, infrared, or surface acoustic wave (SAW) touchscreen technologies; multiple keyboard and pointer selections, including an exclusive stainless steel mouse; PC options that include an internal micro PC or an internal KVM extender allowing connection to a remote PC up to 3,000 feet away; and configurability for Class 1 Division 1 and 2 and Class 2 Division 1 and 2 hazardous areas. Wall Station comes assembled.
