M12 and 7/8-in power connectors accept larger wires
New offering from Binder-USA allows connectors to use larger wire gauge (up to 14 AWG) and conduct currents up to 8 A and 12 A per contact.
Binder-USA is now offering M12 and 7/8-in. field-attachable connectors with larger screw clamp terminations. This change will allow the connectors to accept wires up to 14 AWG. The ability to use a larger wire gauge make the connectors suitable for connecting power applications typically found in industrial environments.
The Series 713 M12 connectors with 4- and 5-pins can now be terminated with 16 AWG wires and a maximum cable diameter of 10 mm. After increasing the wire gauge it is possible for the connectors to conduct currents up to 8 A per contact. Both male and female versions are available in straight form and are intermateable with all 4- and 5-pin A-coded versions.
