Designed for a variety of applications, including auto headlamps, warehouse low-bay lighting, and projection displays, the chips are said to enable solid-state lamp makers to challenge the efficacy of incandescent and fluorescent products. Blue power chip, measured as a bare die, exhibits power output up to 370 mW at 350 mA of drive current and 800 mW at 1 A of drive current. Proprietary optical design delivers an optimal Lambertian radiation pattern, with low emission losses and high efficiency.
