Honeywell to upgrade controls at two Egyptian plants
Honeywell and the Egyptian Electricity Authority (EEA) announced Aug. 11 that they recently signed two contracts worth $28.5 million for the complete automation renovation by the Honeywell Global Solution Business team and Honeywell Egypt of two EEA power generation plants.

Ariz.—Honeywell and the Egyptian Electricity Authority (EEA) announced Aug. 11 that they recently signed two contracts worth $28.5 million for the complete automation renovation by the Honeywell Global Solution Business team and Honeywell Egypt of two EEA power generation plants. Honeywell will perform control upgrades at the Abu Qir and Abu Sultan 600 Mwe power generation plants. The renovations include installing distributed control systems, emergency shutdown, burner management, field instrumentation, engineering, configuration, power generation applications, installation and commissioning.
