Grand Island, N.Y.—The Model 1171 harsh environment transmitter from GP:50 is hermetically sealed, all welded, 316 and 15-5 stainless steels. It is watertight and resists corrosion. The “O”-ring free design insures reliability and an all Inconel pressure cavity is available as an option. There is 5:1 ranging from the ordered pressure range; the external zero, span and calibration controls are hermetically sealed and adjusted hermetically sealed magnetically-coupled drive system. A 4-20 mA with 2-wire loop powering is standard and an I/S option is available. Pressure ranges are available from 5-100,000 psi in sealed gage, absolute and vacuum. The unit features a calibration circuit that permits setup and ranging in the field without a calibrated pressure source. Model 1171 qualifies for FM explosion proof intrinsically safe and CSA intrinsically safe approvals. It is CSA and CENELEC flameproof approved.
