Recent enclosure products from Fibox , Hoffman , ITS , Rose+Bopla , Rittal , and Schroff include easier NEMA 4X doors, high-temperature capabilities, flat-panel enclosures, and a flexible busbar power system.

Fibox Enclosures significantly expanded in-house capabilities to supply customized plastic and aluminum enclosures with state-of-the-art, computer-aided manufacturing system for milling, engraving, cutting, and embossing any of more than 525 standard enclosures. Accessories include cable management products, mounting plates, inspection windows, terminals, switches, and glands.

Hoffman Stainless Steel Type 4X Wall-Mount Enclosures with 3-point latch create a NEMA 4X seal without the need to tighten a dozen screws all around the door, something that few bother to tighten. The easy-seal integrity extends equipment life inside enclosures, especially for electrical components and controls in washdown or corrosive environments. Available in both Type 304 and Type 316L stainless steel, they feature Hoffman’s exclusive Type 316L stainless steel small Powerglide handle with an internal three-point latch system. Applications include petrochemical plants; pulp and paper processing; water treatment facilities; and various food, packaging, and pharmaceutical applications.

ITSEnclosures can cover flat-panel computers.

ITSEnclosures : Ideal for enclosing a flat screen LCD monitor and a thin- client interface, the 7-in. deep IO28268-04-B-22 Flat-Panel Display Enclosure includes an internal chassis for mounting electronics. It swings down for easy access to cables and for equipment servicing. Access is also provided for cables through the bottom of the enclosure. Enclosure accommodates an optional keyboard tray and mounts to a wall or support arm. An optional bracket allows pole mounting. Dimensions are 28 x 26 x 8 in. Rittal Corp . Flexibar is said to allow a reliable alternative to cable or rigid busbar conductors, adding flexibility in panel designs, saving valuable panel space, and reducing installation time and cost. Flexibar can serve as a 200-1,600 Amp conductor solution for busbar systems, power distribution, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, ac/dc drive units, switchgear, motor controls, and transformers. It has a high-temperature PVC insulation that permits the conductor’s copper laminates to slide within a protective jacket, allowing twisting and bending in tight areas where a rigid busbar or large-diameter cable cannot be used. It eliminates need for termination lugs and improves the appearance of panel systems. Larger connection surface area of Flexibar lowers operating temperatures, compared to cable. Tin-plated Flexibar delivers corrosion resistance. Pre-formed made-to-order Flexibar meets customer specifications for repetitive OEM-type projects, MRO applications, and custom electrical connections, for “out of the box” installation. Rose+Bopla E-30 high-temperature enclosures meet fire certification with DIN 4102 part 12 with ingress protection up to IP66. E-30 is tested to ensure continued functionality at 1,544 deg F. Also available are high-temperature ceramic feed-through terminals, cable glands, or conduit hubs, meeting VDE requirements. Schroff’ s 20,000 Series cabinet platform offers customized solutions and rapid time-to-market. Customers define x-, y-and z-axis dimensions. Cabinets have welded-steel construction with interlocking components and rack-angle design for front-to-rear adjustment of installed equipment. Also available are an EMC option; shock and vibration environmental specifications; and a variety of shelves, fan trays, power strips, and other options.
