UTX878 loop-powered, clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter is reportedly accurate, easy to install, causes no pressure drop, does not require calibration, and needs virtually no maintenance. Patent-pending low-powered design requires as little as 60 mW of power, using ultrasonic transducer technology that needs much less excitation energy than conventional transducers. Low profile, NEMA 4X package features a 128 x 64 pixel LCD for viewing flow rate information and a full-featured 6-button external keypad for accessing the instrument program and verifying meter diagnostics. Transducers are available to cover pipe sizes from 1/2-8-in. dia.
