NMW 2005: Sensors pavilion will feature IEEE 1451.4, latest technologies

Chicago, IL—The Sensors Pavilion at National Manufacturing Week (NMW) 2005, March 7-10 at McCormick Place, will be highlighted by exhibitors demonstrating linear and rotary position sensors, pressure sensors, electromechanical and solid-state relays, ultrasonic sensors, and load cells.

One of the newest sensor technologies that will be shownNational Instruments(NI, Booth #4423), which is sponsoring the pavilion. The standard allows sensor-specific information to be stored in an EEPROM on the sensor. This information can also contain custom calibration data allowing for significant improvements in measurement accuracy.

The pavilion at NMW will include sensor manufacturers promoting the IEEE 1451.4 standard and other vendors with sensor technologies. Exhibitors in the Sensors Pavilion will include:
