2600T safety transmitter is SIL2 certified according to IEC 61508 and TÜV approved. Transmitter has been provided with redundancy equipment, which is monitored by comparative and diagnostic functions. Redundancy starts with the sensor and is continued with a dual-channel A/D converter with subsequent comparator circuit. A second clock generator verifying the internalclock generator detects faults through another comparison. To exclude D/A conversion errors, the 4-20 mA signal is fed back, converted to a digital signal by a separate A/D converter, and compared with the input digital signal. A second output stage provides for reliable fault detection by the OCS.If the first output stage fails, the second ensures generation of the correct current in accordance with NAMUR limits.
