Global Display Solutions Ltd . (GDS), a designer and manufacturer of industrial displays, is opening a new facility in China early this year. Plant is the latest move in GDS’s global restructuring, manufacturing, and business development investment to support its accounts and growth in China.

GDS (Suzhou) is in Wujain Fenhu Economic Development Zone on the Shanghai border. The location, says GDS, will allow it to develop a cost-effective, competitive operation; the facility will consist of a professional industrial monitor line with class 100 clean level and a surface mount technology line including a clean room with up to 10k clean level.

The site is geographically convenient for logistics and local support and a high level of available skilled labor. Its long-term goal, says local general manager Ocean Tseng, is “to provide cost-effective display solutions to key global markets.”
